Make sure neither party has accidentally activated mute. Check the mute indicator

Make sure the boom mic is not blocked and is positioned correctly in front of the mouth. The recommended distance from the microphone to the mouth is 3–5 cm (1.2–2 in).
Raise the volume to rule out a setting that is too low.
Switch to another group and then switch back before trying the conversation again.
